INDOOR BOWLING
The Taupo Indoor Bowling Club officially closed its season on Monday evening, October 10, with an abtendance of over 40 and all five inats in use. Three games of five heads were ruii off before a delightful supper served by the ladies, after which prizes for the season were presented. The evening's competition resulted ,r. , tie b.twL. MM. M. Smlth - Mrs W. Tito, 18 points each, in the women's section. In the men's section A. M. Tierney, W. Kemble and S. Murray each had 21 points. In Ihe play off Miss Smith and V . Kemble were the winners. Other prizes presented went to Mrs Thoms and Mrs Banks, winner and runner-up, respectively, ladies singles ; A. M. Tierney and W. K. Tito, men's singles ; W. Rewa and Miss Mclsaac, championship pairs, and W. Iv. and W. Tito runnersmp. An unexpected and popular presentation was made to Mr and Mrs Frank Bostock by Mr V. Simpson, vice-president. Mr and Mrs Bostock were the founders of the club and have been almost entirely responsible for organisation of the games. A spray of flowei'S' was presented to Mis Bostock by tlie ladies. The popularity oi: the game has exceeded all expectations mai.nly due to the entliusiasm of Mr and Mrs Bostock.
