BADMINTON NOTES
A feature of recent button matches has been the success of two newcomers to the game, Noel Williams and Ron Bjorngaard, who commenced playing only this season. They have now survived four challenges by defeating Waldron and R. Davis, 18 — 17 ; W. Davies and N. Hatton, 18 — 17; I. Oraig and J. McLeod, 15—10; and T. Waldron and R. Davis again, by 15 — 13. Earlier matches resulted in J. Stevenson and N. Williams defeating Waldron and R Davis 15 — 8, and G. A. Acres and Mrs P. Staines, 15—10. Li recent ladder challenges Tony Waldron has taken the Jead over K. Neill with J. Stevenson third. Match results have been as follows : K. Neill 12, T. Waldron 10; J. McLeod 11, N. Hatton 3; N. Hatton 11, N. Williams 6; J. McLeod 11, P. Staines 5; N. Williams 11, J. Arnold 3; P. Staines 11, I. Craig 8; T. Waldron 11, K. Neill 7; N. Williams 11, R. Bjorngaard 2; N. Hatton 11, N.
