ANNUAL MEETING OF ST. PAUL'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The annual general meeting of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Taupo, was held in the Church, the Moderator, the Rev. A. Salmond, M.A., of Rotorua, presiding. Reports of the Sessions, the Board of .Managers, the Ladies' Guild, the P.W.M.U. and tlie Sunday Sclioul wero presented and adopted.
The former managers, with the addition of Mr Neville Dench, were elected for the ensuing year, with the exception of Messrs A. II. Kruit and Arthur Kennedy, whose resignations were regretfully accepted. The balance sheet presented by tlie treasurer, Mr E. F. Wright, showed the flnancial position to be sound. The Moderafor expressed his pleasure at the progress of the parish during tlie year. Tlie rapid expansion of Taupo made It necessary for the witness of tlie Church to be maintained to meet tlie material challenge of the times. Ple was thankful for those who saw beyond material acquisition. Ile congratulated the Board of Managers on the progress of the new manse, whicli was tlie resuJt of good plans, skilful workmanship and good siting. it was suitablo in all ways j for the requlrements ol! a minister. Ile exliorted parents to foster any call to a religious vocation whicli thelr children might show. New Zealand was undergoing a period of rapid expension and the Church was faced with a difficult problem in manning. new charges brought into being by the growtli of population.
