ELECTRICAL ENGINEER DISCUSSES LOW VOLTAGES
The Borough Councirs electrical eiigineer, Mr Lloyd Mandeno, met the • Council at a special meeting on Mon- - day afternoon last, when a general f discussiori took place on matters con--nected with the municipal hydroelectric scheme. f- The Mayor, Mr J. E. Story, men- | tioned the matter of low voltages in | parts of the Borough, as discussed at |-the Council meeting of July 20 (see preport in this issue " Power Supply |Voltage"), and Mr Mandeno said he ftvould like to have details in order to | get a complete picture. - fc Cr Young mentioned complaints jlfrom Titiraupenga ' Street, the top Kend of Tamamiitu Street, and Laughfe ton Street, Cr Vedder mentioned the P lower part of Rifle Range Road, and 1 said he felt that a statement reported lin the press as to the causes and Phow Iong it would be before the posiItion was rectified would be adequate satisfy people's enquiries. Low voltages were not peI culiar to Taupo, but Taupo had a | felatively bigger than say Auckland.
