Fire Police

The Taupo Troop, Legion of Frontiersmen,. have been requested by the Taupo Volunteer Fire Brigade to act as Fire Police, and a letter to the Borough Council from the SergeantSecretary of the Troop,. Mr • O. Thomas, has advised that the Troop is prepared to co-operate and assist the Brigade in all ways possible. At the Gouncil meeting on July 6, the Mayor, Mr J. E. . Story, stated that members of the Troop could be appointed as suggested with the approval of the Police Department.# The Gouncil decided, on the motion of Gr W. G- Morris, seconded by Gr K. O. Lewis, that Departmental approval be sought accordingly.
