Despite wintry conditions four mats were in play at the Indoor Bowling Club's gathering last Monday evening. The Competition being run on match play, most games were evenly contested. W. Rewa and Miss G. Mclsaac were * winners with; three wins each. In the play-off for second prizes, W. Tito took the honours from flve others, and "Mrs Fort withstood challenges from Mrs Banks and MrsProsser. Another aggregate points competition was commenced, leading scores being Kemble 31; Rewa and Tierney each 30; Mrs Banks 32; Miss Mclsacc 29 and Miss Smith 26. Mr Tony Tierney has kindly donated two cups for competition. These will be allocated to singles and pairs championships. Entries for the pairs clo'se next Monday, July 25, and it is hoped to play three games the following Monday. Arrangements for singles will be made later.
