AMBULANCE BRIGADE'S SERVICE RECORD

The Taupo St. John Ambulance Brigade has begun a course of six fortnightly first aid lectures. The first lecture took place on Monday evening, June 20, and the lecturer is Dr D. A. Richards. The Brigade will welcome any intending members, who should ring 01* see the Superintendent, Mr L. Edlin, or the Nursing Superintendent, Brs G. Booth, without delay. The Brigade's record of serviee during last year included 68 ambulance trips, mostly from Taupo or outlying centres to Rotorua Hospital. On these trips, members of the Brigade gave 305 hours of serviee, and members of the Nursing Division 312 hours. In addition, Brigade members were on public duty for 205 hours, and Nursing. Division members qine hours. In addition, the latter did private nursing, while the blood bank in Taupo was almost completely staffed by Ambulance personnel.
