INDOOR BOWLING CLUB

Election OI Officers Pollowing Ihe prelimiuary nieeling of those interestod in indoor bowling, held in ihe Memorial Ha 1 1 supporrooni on Monday, March 14, a furthor entliusiastic meeting was held on Monday evening last, under the ehairmanship of Mr Frank Hostock. Those present decided to form themselves into a club to be known as the Taupo Indoor Bowling Cluh. The foliowing officers ati«l c.'iiiLurtee were elected : President, Mr Alex Smitli ; Vicepresident, Mr Vric Simpson ; Cluh Oaptain, Mr Frank Bostock : Vi.cecaptain, Mr Bex Mcisaac ; SecretaryTreasurer, Mr A. G- Reid ; Committee, Mesdames A. Graliam, Bostock and Righton, Messrs A. Graham. Thomas and Mahanga. Tlie annual subseription was lixed at 10s 6d, and playing fees were iixed at 2s per night per member. A generous respouse was 111 ade to a suggestion that fuuds lo cover Ihe initial equipment be raised by wav of interest free loaus from members. • Trov oi S"upVH •' v ^ 1 ' — - was left in the hands of the ladies, but eacli member is requested to provide a cup and saucer. Club night was lixed for Monday niglits, eommencing at 7.30 p.m. sharp. The new club offers a cordial invitation to all intending players to come along. A request to the Borough Council for the use of the auditorium of the War Memorial Hall for play came before the Council at its meeting on Wednesday evening last, and was granted.
