MAORI QUEEN TOPS £1000 The Central Queen Carnival Committee reports payments received last week as follows: — *
With the final payments to be made at the special function in the War Memorial Hall on Saturday, January 15, popular interest in the Queen Contest is keen. The Maori Queen is at present leading with a total of £1003, the Citizens' Queen has come up to second place with £805, and the Sports Queen is in third place with £775/4/6.
