MEETING OF C.W.I.
At the meeting of the Taupo Countrywomen's Institute on Wednesday, November 17, there was a full attendance. The fund for comforts for Miss Spencer, who was the original convenor of Women's Institutes in New Zealand, was fully subscribed. Donations for prizes for the Flower Show were gratefully received. The Christmas Party was discussed and arrangements for a Christmas Tree' made. A birthday spray was presented to Mrs1 Heath. Competition results were: — Sand posy, Mrs Wilson 1, Mrs Murphy 2; Cardigan, Mrs Stowe 1; Vegetable, Mrs Murphy 1.
