WOMEN'S BOWLING CLUB
On Tuesday, November 16, the Taupo Women's Bowling Club held a singles competition for silver brooches, inscribed with t}ie Club initials "T.B.C." presented by Mr W. L. Fulljames. Five games of 12 heads were played. The winners were Mrs V. S. Pearce 68 points; Mrs R. A, McMillan 64; Mrs J. M. Stanley 62; Mrs Robert McMillan and Mrs H. G. Gradwell 61 equal, Mrs McMillan winning the play off. During the afternoon Mrs H. J. Peacocke, Club President, presented Mrs Robert McMillan, president of the Club for the past two years, witfi a small gift from members in recognition of her services. Mrs W. G. Morris was presented with a silver bar for runner-up in the 195354 Singles Championship. On Saturday, November 20, the following members of the Club , travelled to Mangakino and had an enjoyable day on the local Women's Club green: — Mrs Stanley, Mrs R. A. McMillan, Mrs Baldwin, Mrs H. G. Gradwell, Mrs W. G. Morris.
