WEDDING
EDLIN — HILL The wedding of Yvonne Kathleen eldest daughter of Mrs K. Hill, of Taupo, and Laurence, only son of Mr and Mrs( J. B. Edlin, of Taupo, took place at "Hill Top" on Saturday, September 25, the officiating clergyman being the Rev, H. Prouse of Halcombe. The bride was charming in a bellerina length gown of white needlerun lace over taffeta, featuring a fitted bodice buttoned with tiny pearls, Peter Pan collar, short sleeves and bouffant skirt. Her embroidered tulle veil was held by a coronet of orange blossom, and her bouquet was of white camellias, white daphne and maidenhair fern. Attending the bride were her sister Miss Colleen Hill and the bridegroom's sister, Miss Jennifex Edlin, who wore gowns similar to the bride's but in shades of pink and teal respectively. Matching Juliet caps with flower side-sprays were worn, and they carried hand sprays of pink spring may, miniature tulips, cyclamen and stoc&. Mr George Edlin, of Foxton, was best man and Mr B. Ward, Ohakea, was groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held at "Hill Top," with the Rev. H. Fxouse as toastmaster. Mrs Hill wore a grey and black corded ottoman suit with black accessories, and Mrs J. B. Edlin a mushroom pink crepe ensemble, also with black accessories. The bride's going away frock was of paie blue paper tweed, with blue gabardine coat and black accessories, Among the guests were the following who visited Taupo for the occasion: — Mrs J. Knight, Feilding; Mr and Mrs K. Knight, Rangatau; Mr and Mrs G. Edlin, Foxton; Mr and Mrs J. Knight, Eltham; Mr W. Manser, Miss Cherrill Manser, New Plymouth.
