VENISON AND A SURPRISE PACKET
A local businessman recently received a request from a city man, asking whether he could assist him in securing a piece of venison (as he had done once before) for an American friend, and in due course was able to advise his correspondent by telegram that the venison had been duly despatched. Shortly after he received a delighted letter of thanks, enclosing a cheque to cover the expenses he had been put to, but returned the cheque with reciprocal expressions of good will. He then received a further letter from the recipient of the venison, saying that he had might come in handy for suffering hunters. - despatched a little parcel that When the parcel arrived and was opened it was found to contain a dozen bottles of a well-known brand of cough mixture.
