Domain Leases.
In connection with applications made to the Council for the use of portions of domain land for a miniature golf course, and for a rollerskating rink, the Mayor, Mr Story, and Cr Swan, reported that they had seen the Hon. E. B. Corbett, the Lands Minister, when in Wellington recently, and he had expressed himself as definitely opposed to any such leases to( private firms or persons. In view of this the Council decided to inform the applicants that there was nothing to be gained by pursuing the matter further.
