PROHIBITION OF FIRES

TAUPO COUNTY TOKOROA-TAHORAKURI RURAL FIRE DISTRICTS PUBLIC Notice is hereby given under the Forest an Rural Fires Act, 1947, that commencing on the lst day of October, 1954, and until 30th April, 1955, unless a. written permit has been obtained from one of the undermentioned Rural Fire Officers, the lighting of fires is prohibited in the following portions of Taupo County:— * 1 All that area outside the Tokoroa and Tahorakuri Rural Fire Districts lying generally between Lake Taupo, Oruanui and Aratiatia Rapids and bounded on the west by the western boundary of Tuhingamata West Survey District and on the south east by the unformed road running from Whakaipo Bay to the Oruanui-Taupo Road, thence north by this road to Jfhe Waitoa- Wairakei highway and by it to its junction with Section 2, Block X Tatua Survey District, thence to the north east by the north west boundary of this section to its intersection with the Wairakei Stream, thence by this stream to its junction with the Waikato River thence by that river to its junction

with Tahorakuri Rural Fire District approximately one mile below the Aratiatia Rapids. In addition, all that area generally north east of Oruanui and between the Tokoroa Rural Fire District on the west, the Tahorakuri Fire District on the south east and the Waikato River on the north east. The attention of all persons is drawn to Section 3 of the Forests and Rural Fires Amendment Act, 1951, and all persons are hereby warned that the Committees of the above Districts will in all icases sue for recovery of cost of investigations of all illegal fires.
