MAROA FIRE INQUEST

At the adjourned inquest into the deaths of the three children of Mr and Mrs R. J. Condon, of Maroa, held on Wednesday, August 11, the Coroner, Col. J. D. Swan, reiurned a verdict that the eldest child, Jack Patrick Condon, aged 6 years 9 months, met his death accidentally at about 8 p.m., on July 30, at Maroa, when his parents home was destroyed by fire. In the cases of the younger children, Michael, aged 1 year 10 months, and Merrie, aged four, who died later in Rotorua Hospital, the verdict was that the deaths resulted from injurics received as a result of the fire.
