BASKETBALL NOTES
TAUMARUNUI REPS. PLAY AT TAUPO TOMORROW At a Basketball Committee meeting on August 3 advice was received that teams entering the competition late may not expect any points allotted to them, this being set down in the constitution. The Committee had sent away for a copy in June but have not received it. When C.O.G., Maroa and Spa sent in their entries the Committee decided to award them the average points of four each. Now, due to the above provision in the constitution, every other team will be allotted four points each. Advice to the Committee from Taumarunui is that two representative teams from there will arrive in Taupo tomorrow, Saturday, August 14. The Taumarunui A team will be going to the Dominion Third Grade Tournament in Wellington. All Taupo rep. players are asked to bring a plate for] afternoon tea tomorrow, Saturday. . The draw for tomorrow is as follows: — Huka vJ Wanderers 11 a.m.; Taumarunui B v. Taupo B 1 p.m.; Taumarunui A v. Taupo A 1.45 p.m.; Mokai v. Primary 2.30 p.m.; High School v. Spa 3.15 p.m. Results of last Saturday's games were: — Huka 10 v. Primary 4; Maroa 26 v. Mokai 6; Wanderers 13 v. Spa 5; College Old Girls drew with High School 13 all. C.O.G. and Ma-
roa have played off their match, Maroa defeating C.O.G.
