HOME AND SCHOOL HOLD SUCCESSFUL DANCE

The Taupo Home and School Association held a successful dance in Rickit's Hall on Friday night, August 6, when there was a good attendance to enjoy the music of Colin Castleton's Band. The purpose of the function was to augment the funds of the Association, which are used to aid the Taupo School by assisting to provide many types and items of equipment needed, and which do not come within ! those provided by "the Government." Mr A. Kennedy, Association secretary, states that when all expenses are paid funds will benefit to the extent of about thirty pounds. The Committee wish to thank the parents who responded so well to the appeal made for good things for the supper. The latter was in the hands of the women members of the Committee, ably assisted by a number of friends. Mr J. K. Bogue acted as M.C.
