BUILDING IN TAUPO
PERMITS FOR MONTH TOTAL ESTIMATED VALUE £30,775 There seems to be no sign of any diminution in the amount of building being done in Taupo. At the Borough Council meeting on Wednesday, July 21, the Building Inspector, Mr G. M. Crickett, reported that plans and specifications had been checked and approved for the issue of building permits to a total estimated value of £30,775, during the month ending July 14. The buildings sanctioned included ten residences of a total estimated value of £24,490, five additions totalling £1975, and consulting rooms, garages, bath house, workshop, etc., totalling £4310. The estimated values and situations of the residences were as follows: — £2000, Golf Links Road; £2950, j Tamamutu Street; £1290, Rifle j Range Road; £2750, Scannell i Street; £2700, Hill Top Road; £3200, Koha Avenue; £2000, Wheretia Street; £2500, Golf Links Road; £2100, Pataka Road; £3000 Mere
