FOOTBALL INJURIES

GOOD WORK BY ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE Although the Maniapoto Cup match between Tokaanu and Taupo representative teams, played at Taupo on Saturday last, was played in an excellent sporting spirit, there were three cases of injuries to players. In each case the members of the Taupo Branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade on duty on the field rendered first aid to the players. Two players had to leave the field, Mr T. Curham, of the Taupo team, with a pulled musele, and Mr S. Rawhiti, of the Tokaanu team, who suffered a broken collar-bone. At the conclusion of the game it was found that Mr S. Cole, of the Taupo team had suffered a fractured rib, although he had continued playing.
