TAUPO BOWLING CLUB

THIRD ANNUAL MEETING • At the third annual meeting of the Taupo Bowling Club the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— President, Mr E; T. Smith; Immediate Past-President, Mr B. M. Armstrong; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs. E. H. Rowlands, R. McMillan; Secretary, Mr F. E. M. Bostock; Treasurer, Mr A. G. Reid; Green Superintendent, Mr J. Pennycook.

Committee, Messrs. C. McLean, A. R. McLean, E. Darlington, W. G. Morris, S. A. Howie, J. McBeth. Match Committee, Messrs. C. McLean, E. T. Smith and R. McMillan. Grounds Committee Messrs H. Marlow and F. Mahanga. Coaches, Messrs. R. McMillan and C. McLean. Hon. Auditor, Mr C. Watson. Delegates to Centre, Messrs. G. F. Colbeck and C. McLean. In connection with indoor bowling it was decided that members of the Club, should pay 1/- per night for indoor bowling, and that non-members wishing to play indoor bowls should pay a subscription to the! Club as honorary, associate or full-playing members, plus the nightly fee mentioned. It was decided1 that indoor bowling hours be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on Mondays. The incoming Committee was authorised to discuss and fix the renumeration to be paid to the Green Superintendent. It was also a recommendation to the incoming Committee that a water supply system be installed, and extensions made to the building, including an implement shed and lockers. Subscriptions were fixed as for last year.

A vote of thanks was accorded the Women's Club for their donation to the Club's funds and for their excellent work in providing I teas for tournaments and afternoon play. The Women's Club was allotted an afternoon per week for indoor bowls, and also granted the facilities of the Clubhouse and green for the coming season, fees | to be fixed by the incoming Comj mittee. Eight, new members were elected. A letter of thanks was authorised to be sent to Mr G. A. Fulljames, of Devonport, for his donation of badges. i
