TAUHARA GUN CLUB
CLAY BIRD SHOOT
The Tauhara Gun Club held another clay bird shoot recently at their new site on the northern end of the Aerodrome, six matches being fired. Ten shooters faced the mark and competition was keen, the most successful contestant be~ ing Mr Eric Jones, of Te Rangiita, while Mr Keith Johnson, of the local Club, also shot well. There were several promising new competitors. Afternoon tea served on the ground greatly contributed to enjoyment of the shoot. Several Golf Club members visited the ground, among them Mr L. E. Pearse, who gave an exhibition of shooting that proved both entertaining and amusing. Another shoot is planned for the near future and meantime members hope to complete their new pavilion.
