OLL BOYS RE-UNION

ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOLS A party of about 30 Old Boys of various English Public Schools from different parts of the North Island took part in a week-end reunion of members of the N.Z Association of Public Schools of Great Britairi on Saturday and Sunday, March 20th and 21st. As a result of ill health Major General Sir Andrew Russell and Lady Russell were unfortunately unable to attend and sent their apologies. A dinner at Hotel Wairakei on Saturday evening was presided over by Commander A. S, Winton of Wellington, President of the N.Z. Association. After the loyal toast the president proposed that of the English Public Schools Club (Waikato), Mr A. F. R. Broadhurst, president of the English Public Schools Association (Waikato) replying. The combined Associations played an enjoyable cricket match against the Taupo Cricket Club on the Saturday, an excellent afternoon tea being served by the Taupo Girl Guides under Commissioner H. Peart. About a dozen of the party enjoyed Sunday on the Lake on the launch Rothesay, rough weather confining activities to fishing off Rangatira Point. In a golf match Mr and Mrs D. B. Mansergh of Auckland and Mr and Mrs G. S. Parker of Te Kauwhata (Waikato) finished all square.
