THE "LITTER-BUG"
The Dominion-wide prevalence of "litter-bugs" was the subject of comment at a recent meeting of the Cambridge Sub-Province of Federated Farmers. One speaker, Mr S. H. Judd, gave an instance of how a box of rubbish had been left on his property. Other members reported similar experiences, Mr G. M. Winter reporting that he had had dead cats and bad preserves left on his property as well as broken bottles, which were to be found along all the country roadsides. The president, Mr Morley Boyce, stated that he had spoken to a traffic officer concerning the practice and had been told that the Traffic Department had no authority to prosecute except where rubbish, such as bottles, was thrown from a. vehicle.
