LABOUR LEADERS TO VISIT TAUPO
SPECIAL MEETING ON FEB. 21 The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, M.P., President of the N.Z. Labour Party, is to visit Taupo on Sunday, February 21, when a special meeting of the Rotorua Labour Representation Committee is to be held in Rickit's Hall at 10.30 a.m. About forty deiegates and a number of visitors from all parts of the Rotorua Electorate are expected to attend. Among others present will be the Hon. J. Roberts, Mr P. Kearins, M.P., Mr A. J. McDonald, National Secretary of the Party, and Mr R. Boord, National Vice-secretary. L.R.C, Meeting The bi-monthly meeting of the Rotorua L.R.C. was held in Rickit's Hall at 10.30 a.m. on February 7, when there were some forty dele-gates-and a number of visitors from electorate affiliations. Mr P. Kearins, M.P., and Mr R. Boord, National Vice-secretary, were also present. A number of remits from Party branches and affiiliations were discussed preparatory to being forwarded to Party Headquarters. Mr S. Newland, L.R.C. President, was in the chair, and Taupo deiegates were Messrs. J. Stanley, L. Fischbach and H. Keen, representing local Union branches, and Mr J. L. Burge, Taupo branch of the Party. At the close of the day's proceedings at 5 p.m. thanks were accorded Messrs P. Kearins and R. Boord for their attendance, and the lady members of the local branch for providing refreshments. The Annual General Meeting of the L.R.C. is to be held in Rotorua on April 11.
