CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR PLAY

DRAMATIC SOCIETY'S HOLIDAY ATTRACTION The Taupo Dramatie Society iis presenting as a holiday attraction in Rickit's Hall, on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 29 and 30, and on Monday and Tuesday, January 4 and 5, John Dighton's "The Happiest Day of Your Life." The producer is Mr Arnold Goodwin, of Auckland. Indications are that the production will better the outstanding success achieved last holiday period by the Society's production of Coward's "Blithe Spirit." Nightly rehearsals have led Mr Arnold Goodwin to express himself as delighted with the progress of the very talented cast. "If the play doesn't make Taupo laugh," he remarked, "there is something wrong with their sense of humour." Mr Goodwin urged that those intending to see the play should book seats without delay to avoid disappointment. Bookings are at the Taupo Book Club, Ruapehu Street, opposite the School, and when the Book Club is closed at the St. John Ambulance First Aid Station, Tongariro Street, opposite the Tuwharetoa Street intersection.
