GIRL GUIDE NOTES
Miss Pam Thompson has been appointed captain of the 1st Taupo Girl Guides Company. She has served her month's probation and will sit for her warrant in the New Year. The Company is fortunate
in securing Miss Thompson's services. Mrs Snooks, late Captain of the Company, has been appointed District Secretary to assist the District Commissioner, Mrs H. Peart. The Company is now in the happy position of having full personnel. There are 24 enrolled tenderfoots, most of whom are going to Rotorua for the Royal Visit on January 2nd. They will be accompanied by Captain Pam Thompson and Brown Owl Judy Thompson, who is taking 12 Brownies. Arrangements for the visit to Rotorua are now' finalised, and the special bus will leave the H.B. Motor Company's Taupo depot at 8.30 a.m. sharp on January 2nd. The Guide Company has made a combined effort to send a" ChristParcel to their Lone Guide in Auckland.
