GIFT FROM GIRL GUIDES Mr N. A. Duthie, Chairman of the Taupo Public Library Committee, advises that he has received from Mrs Peart, District Commissioner, Girl Guides, a donation of twelve pounds to the Library funds. This donation, which is much appreciated by the Committee, has been given by the 1st Taupo Girl Guide Compapy and officers, including the Brownie Pack and the Brown Owl, as part of their "Civic Pride" eifort for the year, which is aimed to teach the girls to show an interest in the community in which they live. The gift is also intended as a gesture of gratitude from the Guides for the help given them by their supporters.
