ARRANGEMENTS FOR ROYAL VISIT TO ROTORUA

The programme for the Royal Visit to Rotorua has been ofhcially announced by the Prime Minister and will interest Taupo citizens who wish to attend functions at Rotorua. The details are as follows: — Friday, January 1— Leave Tirau 3.45 p.m. by car for Moose Lodge, Lake Rotoiti, via main highway. x 4.50 p.m. — Enter Rotorua via Lake Road, Tutanekai, Arawa and Fenton Streets and leave via Whakatane Road. -5.20 p.m. — Arrive Moose Lodge. Saturday, January 2: — 11.25 a.m. Leave Moose Lodge for Rotorua by car. Ceremonial drive from junction of Whakatane Road and Fenton Street, along Fenton Street and Arawa Street through Sanatorium grounds. 12 noon: — Arrive Motutara golf course. Civic reception by the Mayor, Mr A. M. Linton. 12.15 p.m.: — Leave by car for Grand Hotel via Sanatorium grounds, Arawa, Tutanekai, Amohau, Ranolf and Pererika Streets, through High School grounds; thence along Pererika, Ranolf, Amohau and Fenton Streets. 12.35 p.m.: — Arrive Grand Hotel. 12.50 p.m : — Civic luncheon ,at Grand Hotel (Mr A. M. Linton). 2.35 p.m.: — Leave by car for Arawa Park, via Fenton Street. 2.45 p.m.: — Arrive Arawa Park. Maori reception (Mr E. B. Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs). Later — Leave for Moose Lodge via Fenton Street and Whakatane Road. Sunday, January 3, 10.30 a.m.: — Leave Moose Lodge for St. John's Presbyterian Church ,via Whakatane Road, Fenton and Pukuatua Streets. 10.55 a.m.: — Arrive St. John's Church. 11 a.m.: — Attend Divine Service (Minister, Rev. A. Salmond). 12.10 p.m.: — Leave for Moose Lodge via Pukuatua and Fenton Streets and Whakatane Road. 12.35 p.m.: — Arrive Moose Lodge. Remainder of stay until morning of January 6 free from official engagements. Wednesday, January 6, 10.20 a.m. — Leave Moose Lodge for Rotorua airport via Whakatane Road and Fenton Street. 10.50 a.m.: — Arrive Airport. 10.57 a.m.: — Leave for Gisborne by Royal aircraft (NAC).
