GOLDEN COCKERELL'S GAMES Game in the Stephenson Golden Cockerells competition were played at the Taupo Bowling Club's green on Sunday, November 29, as follows: — Howie, Quinn, Mills and Fulljames 21 defeated McDonald, Wells, Baumberg and Rowlands 16; Strong, Marlow and McMillan 18 defeated Anderson, Peacock and Taylor 13; Harnett, McBeth, Mahanga and Stanley 28 defeated Morris, Murphy, A. M'cLean and East 22; Atwood, Anchor, C. lClcLean 24 defeated McNichalas, R. Glark, T. Baldwin 22; Colbeck, Gunn, Bourne and Pennycock 21 defeated Peart, Coley, F. Logan and B. M. Armstrong 17. In the Baldwin Buttons challenge competition, Atwood and Colbeck defeated Quinn and Darlington. The Clayworth Buttons again changed hands, Baldwin and Bourne defeating Mahanga and Strong 16 — 4. Mr J. A. Fenton, watchmaker and jeweller, has presented a handsome cup for thd Rink Championship of the Taupo Bowling Club, a much appreciated . gesture.
