BOY SCOUTS
Sir, — I woiild be grateful if you would allow me space to say something in appreciation of the good work that the Taupo Boy Scouts have been doing under the leadership of their Scoutmaster Mr W. Harding. Throughj the energetic work of the Scoutmaster and his troop, materials were donated by sympathetic businessmen for a Scout. Hut at Spa Farm. All the work w^as carried out by Mr Harding and the boys during week-ends. This meant many sacrifices and a - good deal of time. The roofing, cojsting £49, was their only outlay and this was cleared, by the Troop, within a month of the official opening, with two bottle-drives. Since
then Mr Fulljames has donated a full concrete chimney. This brings the value of the Hut up to £200. This is a great asset to all boys concerned and surely a great achLeyement. All parents and Scouts are very fortunate to have Mr Harding as Scoutmaster, and it is to be hoped that the Movement will be allowed to go on as successfully as it has done till the present time and those responsible for its control will realise the need for harmonious administration and helpful spirit of co-operation with the Scoutmaster. I am, etc., -
"WELL-WISHER."
