GOLF NOTES

There was no play on the Taupo Links on Thursday last oWing to the wet weather. The Ladies' Championship progressed a further stage with Miss Branson defeating Mrs Douglas in the semi-finals 6 and 5. Mrs Colbeck and Mrs Hullten have still to play, the winner of their match then playing Miss Branson in the final. On Sunday 11th the men played a Stableford, best scores being J. Miles, 39 points; S. Neame and N. Kerr 37; N. George 36; A. Kellett 31. On Sunday next the President's v. Captain's Teams match will be played, and on Thursday next the Ladies, Club will play senior and junior Stablefords.
