RUGBY FOOTBALL
A match in the first round of the Mackay Cup was played at Hirangi Football ground, Turangi, on Sunday week, when College Old Boys defeated Tongariro by 22 points to nil. Scorers for the winning team were James Biddle 3 tries, A. Tahau, H. Maniapoto and G. Blake 1 try each, whilst M. Wall converted two of the tries.
