Miss K. O. Lewis is unaergoing treatment in Kia" Ora Hospital, Rotorua, and will probably be away for some ten days. Taupo friends of Mrs S. R. W'illiamson will regret to learn that she recently suffered a broken leg and is at present in Middlemore Hospital. Mr Raymond Young recently purchased, from Smith's Dairies Ltd., their farm on the Taupo-Oru-anui highway between Wairakei and Oruanui, and has now taken possession of the property. Mr Lloyd Mandeno, consulting engineer to the Town Board, was in Taupo last week in connection with power scheme matters, and paid a visit of inspection to the Power Station at Hinemaiai, where work on the installation of the main generator is proceeding. Mr and Mrs D. A. McLeod and family returned last week from a three weeks holiday in Auckland. Mr Warren Cooper, who is on the staff of the Lower Hutt Post Office is spending a holiday with his parents in Taupo*
