WEATHER SPOILS PROGRAMME Unfortunately neither Mokai nor Tokaanu came to Taupo last weekend possibly owing to the unsettled state of the weather, and so the second game played on Saturday afternoon was between a Primary School team and a mixed team of Huka, High School and Crusaders. The games wete both scrappy, the goalmg in the Huka v. High School game being atrocious. Mona Hooker, who was playing her first game showed that she has the makings of a good defence. The second game provided the primary schools with their first game of the season, and assisted by Shirley Laughton in the defence they succeeded in beating the combined team by 11 to 4. Jennifer Pitiroi in the forwards, with Kate Rameka and Keren Reid in centre and Mardi Hough assisting Shirley Laughton in the defence made quite a good team. Mrs Keith Russell, who played her first game of the season for the combined team, has the makings of a good forward. The draw for next Saturday is as follows: 1.30, Primary v.
