HOME AND SCHOOL BALL
SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION Another successful event in the series of winter dances was the Home and School Association's second annual bail, held in Rickit's Hall on Friday, July 17th. The hall had been Iecorated with greenery and paper Howers by Miss B. Walters (Taupo D.H. School staff) and High School pupils. Col. J. D. Swan acted as master of ceremonies, and Colin Castleton's Orchestra (Rotorua) provided the music. Among those present were Mrs J. E. Story, who wore cyclamen t and sky Mue striped nylon taffeta; Mrs G. Patchett, lace blouse and black velvet ^skirt won with black and gold stole; Mrs C. E. Baker, multi-coloured French faille; Mrs J. Donnelly, floral slipper satin; Mrs Jenkins, cobalt blue julienne crepe; Mrs Orlowski, black wool jersey frock; Mrs S. Crowther, cyclamen blouse and black circular skirt; Mrs R. Harnett, grey Jbroderie anglaise worn over cyclamen taffeta; Mrs S. Pearce, black gown with tinsel thread tartan. Mrs J. A. Smith, light ciiocolate ■stardust taffeta; Mrs Cobb, black and gold striped tie silk; Mrs K. Rameka, iloral jersey silk; Miss Mina Scott, Mue green shot faille; Mrs W.
