PRIMARY SCHOOL FOOTBALL

In pouring rain and wretched conditions the first of three days of interprimary school football matches were played at Taupo Domain on Saturday last. Three matches were played, each of which. was refereed by Mr W. Haa'ding. In view of the weather it was almost impossible to judge the capabilities of the individual players. Results were as follows: — Under 7 stone: Taupo 3 pts. v. Oruapui-Maroa combined, nil. Waitahanui 3 pts. v. Taupo B nil. From 7-9 stone: Taupo 6 pts. v. Combined 3 pts. The next two days of play are likely to take place on Saturday, July 18th. and on a Thursday about a fortnight latec.
