"He Gives Twice Who Gives Quickly''
WAR MEMORIAL HALL FUND The period within which the Government will subsidise £ for £ moneys raised for war memofrial purposes ends this month. The saying that "He gives twice who gives quickly,, is thus literally true when applied to donations for the Taupo District War Memorial Hall fund. The Memorial Committee are appealing elsewhere in our columns for a final effort to secure as great a subsidy as possible. Owing to mispiints, the total given in our last issue, as the total of the suhsoriptions given sinee the Carnival period ended, was incorrect. The amount shown at the foot of the list as the "total to date" was £271 1/7, whereas it should have been £227 1/7. The position to date is given helow.
