A four ball men's bogey was played on the Taupo links on Sunday, April 26, the best scores being D. Neame and E. Ryan, 5 up; V. Wilson and S. Neame, 5 up; H. Hullten and Fs Sherning, 5 up; A. Graham and E. Pearce, 4 up; E. Collett and L. Cheal, 3 up; D. Neame and E. Ryan won on the count back. On Thursday, April 30, a Ladies' Bogey was played, the best scores being Mrs Hullten, 1 down; Mrs Douglas, Mrs Young and Mrs Colbeck, 3 down; Mrs Ryan, 5 down. Mrs Ryan and Mrs Cheal played a Winter Cup match on Sunday, April 26, Mrs Ryan winning two up. On Sunday, May 10, a team from the Tokoroa Golf Club will play a Taupo team on the Taupo Club's qourse in the first match for the Smith Shield.
