RETICULATION CHAOS
Sir, — The report under heading "Reticulation Progress" in last week's Taupo Times was somewhat confusing. Townspeople understood that reticulation was planned to spread from the business area outward, instead of jumping all over the place. Evidently this simple and fair arrangement presented insuperable difficuities. but from a citizen's viewpoint the system of connection in v-aried and distant localities defies all reason. Of course, there will be some i simple explanation. Hov^ever, it is apparent to the most primitive mentality that the Taupo Maternity Home should have been granted highest priority, as it is understood that the lighting plant at the Home is tottering on its last legs, like so many others in Taupo, and that Coleman lamps have had to be used on several occasions. To the onlooker j this is a shocking example of lack | of consideration, if not downright I selfishness. Probablv o.ur household ; will be among the last to be hooked I up, but I do think that a special i effort ^should be made to connect the hospital immediately. I am, etc.,

Taupo.
