C.A.S. Recital. — Booki ng for the Maurice Clare violin recital under the auspices of the Taupo Community Arts Service opens on Friday next, May 1, and intending patrons are advised to book early. The recital takes place on May 21. ic Tau po Hospitality. — A letter received by the Taupo Crusaders marching team from the Legionaires marching team, of Rotorua, states that in five years of marching the team had not seen such hospitality extenuea to a visiting team as they had enjoyed on their visit to Taupo for the display on April 18. They would be pleased to assist the local marching girls again at any time.
F lying and Fishing. — Buring Easter history of a kind was made, when Mr A. J. Paterson, a "B" pilot, flew from Auckland in a Whitney aeroplane of the Auckland Aero Club, spent an all day fishing picnic on the beach at Waitahanui, and returned to Auckland with his passenger, Mr W. W. Ansell, that evening. The incident indicates the possibilities o'f plane travel for Aueklanders desiring a days fishing Taupo.
