FISHES AT WAIHAHA His Exeellency the Governor-Gen-eral, Sir Willoughby Norrie, and Lady Norrie, spent a few days at Taupo last week, staying at Huka Lodge. On Thursday ihe party visited Waihaha, Western Bays in the launch Rothesay, and fly-fished at | ihe mouth of the Waihaha Stream. H was His Excellency's second "visit to Taupo, and on his previous visit a few years ago he also fished the Waihaha. On this occasion the party took fourteen or fifteen fish, a number of which were put back, but eight fish in good condition were brought back, The heaviest fish weig'hed 5|lbs. and was taken by Her Exctllericy, fly-fishing with a light eight foot rod. Waihaha was reached about midday, and the party left on their return about nine p.m. All fish were taken during the dav, as no fish came i:f to ihe mouth after dark.
