Fatrons should note that there will he no exhibition of films on Saturday next, Anzac Day, nor on Monday of next week. However, a programme will be shown on Thursday, when the popular Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's 27th comedy "Comin5 Round The Mountain,, will be seen. The background is a wild shooting hillbilly feud, and it marks the screen debut of Dorothy Shay. the Park Avenue hillbilly. On Friday there will be a double feature programme of R„K.O. pictures. Thrills feature t.he stirring tale of adventure and treachery set against the colourful background of an Oklahoma oi! town in the film "Double Deal." The plot tuims on the eftorts of a determined girl and a young oil driller to bring in a well in unproved terrrtory against determined opposition. Marie Windsor and Richard Denning are the stars. IFs a battle royal to the finish in Tim Holt's latest picture "Mask-* ed Raiders" in which he has a new leading lady in Marjorie Lord. As a ranch girl the latter becomes involved with a mysterious bandit group which Holt as a Texas Ranger is assigned to break up. "Air Cadet" which is to be shown on Wednesday of next week tells the story of the training of jet fighter pilots for the U.S. Air Force. When Stephen McNally and Richard Long were quartered with the airmen for the purpos-e of making this film they had to learn an entirely new language hefore they felt on an equal footing* with the men.
