Sale of Property. — Mr H. J. PeacocKe, of Taupo, has bought from the Moody Estate the qiiarter acre section at the southwest corner of the intersection of Ruapehu and Paora Hape Streets. ★ Guides" Marching Display. — Referring to the x Guide Rally at Hamilton on March 21st., the Waikato Times states that "A marching bisplay by Guides from Taupo was one of the highlights of the afternoon, with precision marching that would do eredit to a guards brigade. The same team, later in the programme, performed a dance "French Rendezvous," complete with 18th. century costumes of wdiite satin.,J The marching display was ably led by Keren Reid. ★ Eleven Point Stag. — Mr I). Mills Siiot a scag at the back of Mr Smith's fann near Oruanui on Friday evening last, the head being a well shaped one of elever points. Not long after, in semi-dark-ness, Mr Mills was making his way through fern to pick up a waterproof that he had left earlier, when he came upoii a pig within ten yards of him and manag^ed to drop it also. The pig weighed about 150 pounds.
