MRS E. FANCOURT FAREWELLED
A delightrul farewell party for Mrs E. Fancourt, arranged by Mrs F. Lowery and Mrs H. E.: Shephevd, was held reeently at the latter's home. In ihe absence of Mirs Lowery owing to Llness 'Mrs Shepherd made a presentation to Mrs Fancourt, who is to jnake her home in Palmerston North. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Burge and Gill and Miss Lowery. Among those present were Mesdames W. Biranson, E. Baty, G. Tuck, H. M. Fleming", W. H. Thomas, A, Stott, W. H. HUI, J. E. Young, I Logan, F. Sherning, G. Eochfort (Havelock N.), J. E. Barton, D. S., Moore, F. Palmer, W. Stowe, G. A. Acres, W. Barker, and Misses A. Le Huray, E: T. Fleury, G. HUI, L M. Ealey, J. Branson, R. McKelvie, D. Tomkies, M. Stowe and X Fleming. St. Andrew's Guild On Wednesday last the members f the St. Andrew's Chuirch Ladies' Guild held a farewell afternoon tea in Rickit's Hall in honour of Mrs Fancourt. As a token oi their affection and appreciation of IJvIrs FaneourPs continued assistance, Mrs Taylor presented her on behalf of the Guild, with a cup, saucer and plate, and noSegay of floweirs which were supplemented by a bouquet oi: roses and colourful spray oi michaelmas daisies. Musical honours having been accorded Mrs Fancourt expressed her pleasure at the opportunity to say good-bye to Guild members, thanking them for their gift and the i eminder of Taupo' s gardens given by their flowers. The Rev. C. G. G. Salt proposed Mrs Fancourt's health and wished her well.
