Lack of match play for the past month was most evident in the efforts of the Taupo Cricket Club, in their i return game with the Kaingaroa Foiest fceam at Taupo, on March 18th. Taupo lost the toss and were required to bat first, being all out foi 27, only two batsmen reaching; 6 runs. Kaingaroa^S' eai'ly batsmen were somewhat subdued against a l at her limited attack, but later batsmen hit out more, and aided by poor catching, were able to ruri up a total of 142, Taupo fared a little better in their second innings, managing to

reach 66, with only two batsmen reaching double figures. Ihe result was a win for Kaihgaroa Forest by an innings and 49 runs. It is antici- i pated that the club wili have two j more matches before the season closes, one at Rotorua on the 22na. March against the Kahakura Club, and the final one on the 29th. March -against National Park at Taupo, for the Lett Cup. at present held by Taupo.
