GOLF CLUB COMMITTEE
FULL-TIME MAN FOR COURSE The committee of the Taupo Golf Club met at the Club house on Monday, March 9th., when there were present:— Mr K. E. Young, Captain; Mr J. Woodward, Vice-Captain; Miss Branson, Secretary; Mesdames K. E. Young, C. Vedder; Messrs L. Cheal, E. F. Wright, 0. Wright, T. Priee, The following were elected as the Greens Committee, Messrs K. E. Young, L. Stephenson, L. E. Pearse, L. Cheal. The Committee considered
applications received for the position of a full-time man for work on the Course. Five applications had been received, but as three had withdrawn the choice was between two and Mr L.« Frost, at present parttime ski-instructor and second greenkeeper at the Chateau Tongariro was appointed. The Captain reported that work on the new nine holesi was progressing well and that some greens were ready for sowing. It was arranged that the first match against Putaruru for the Ewart Shield should be played on the Taupo Course on April 19th.
