WEDDING AT ST. ANDREW'S McLEOD — McKEAN St. Andrew's Chureh was gay with liiger-lilies, gypsophila, -aster; uud fnaiden hair fern for the" wedding on Monday, February 23rd., of Juliet Heather, twin daughter of Mr and Mrs J. D. McLeod, Taupo, to Francis (Frank) McKean, youngest son of Mr arid Mrs W. J. McKean, Taupo. The bride, escorted by her father,, looked charming in a lovely ivory gown of embro^dered; cloque witih fitted bodiee, f buttoned down the back with self covered buttons, and featuring a Swiss lace yoke outlined with. scallops, and full length sleeves. The full skirt with pannier effect fell into a long full train, exquisitely trimmed with lace insets and rouleau lover's knots. The long embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and silver leaves. The bride carried a shower bouquet of carrtations and maidenhair fern and wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids June and Margaret McLeod, twin and younger sisters respectively of the bride, were charming in lavender nylon tulle over taffeta. Their frock made on similar lines to the bridal gown had lavender taffeta fitting bodices with a double row of deey scallops edging the nylon net yokes. The boufFant skirts were caught at intervals on the herri lines with lavender rosettes. Both wore dianiante pendant necklaces, gifts from the bridegroom and carried bouquets of lavender and pink asters with maidenhair fern. On their heads were dainty bandeaus of lavender flowers and silver leaves. Tiny Dianne Baird, niece of the bride, was flower giri. She wore a floor length frock of pastel lemon embroidered organdie and a gold loeket, the bridegroom's gift, and darried a posy of sweet-peas and asters. Mr Arehie Bailey, Wanganui, cousin oi the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr Ken Salter of Taupo wTa,s groomsman. The reception was held at the Kotel Wairakei.. Mrs J. D. McLeod wore a strawberry matelassa crepe ircck with navy edge to edge coat, orchid spray and navy acjessories. Mrs W. J. McKean wo-c a pastel pink i rock and hac with tiny brown veil and white accessories. The Rev. C. G. G. Bait, who officiated at the weading, was the toastmaster. On leaving for the honeymoon tour of the North Island the bride wore a srnart blue-grey suit with wine accessories. The voung couple will resi.de . in Taupo.
