ALL CLASS THREE At a special meeting of the Taupo Towai Board on February 10th. a resolution was passed classifying al-1 roads in the Town District, except the Main Highway and the Spa Road, as Class Three. This step has been 1 taken to proteet the town roads from the excessive wear and tear of tlie heavier classes of traffic, and with the commencement of a tar sealing prograrnme has become increasingly necessary. The maximium gross load for a two axled vehicle on a Class Three Road is ten tons, provided the maximum load on either axle does not exceed five tons. For multialed and combination vehitms the maximum gross load is sixteei; tons, I the maximum per spaced axle being five tons and per tandem axle three and a balf tons. Following the prescribed advertising of the resoh don in the usual cour.se all vehicles with loads in excess of the limits mentioned will be restricted to the Main Highway and the Spa Road.
