BOWLING FOR LADIES
KEW CLUB IK TAUPO As will be noted our advertising columns a meeting is to be held at the Taupo Rowling Club's pavilion. Monday, February 23rd., to form a Ladies Bowling Club. It is hoped that the move will be well suppcrted A number of intending rrn.mDeis are already in sight, and several ladies who are experienoed [players have -signified their keen desire to help beg-inners. The Taupo Bowjling Club will assist the Ladies Glub by providing greens for play on certain days. The growth of the bowling movement amongst women in New Zealand is strikingly evidenced by the New Zealand Championships now being played in Auckland. The establishment of a Club in Taupo will be of great value not only to Taupo residents but as an added attraction for visitors to the district. The interest taken by the men's Bowling Club in the new venture is shown by the fact that members have already donated for competition amongst members of the proposed women's club several trophies and a handsome cup.
